Assembly session on Jan 30, confirms DVS

Sadanada GowdaMangalore, Jan 12, 2011: D. V. Sadananda Gowda, the chief minister of Karnataka, said that opposition members will participate in the assembly session, which will be held on Jan 30.

In response to queries regarding the absence or presence of opposition members, the chief minister said that the session was scheduled in consultation with opposition members, who are expected to return from their foreign tour on Jan 29 and will be able to participate in the session on Jan 30.

Regarding the recent discussion between the BJP and the RSS, he said that the two belong to the same family and do not need to hold talks. When asked whether the state’s political condition might turn stable following Sankranthi, he replied that he was not an astrologer.

When asked if he plans to tour the state in the company of B. S. Yeddyurappa, the former chief minister, he said that everybody is treated equally in the BJP. He declared that nobody has been successful in breaking up the BJP so far, in spite of their best attempts, and never will.
