Aryabhata award presented to Jayarama Bhat, Managing Director of Karnataka Bank

Mangalore, April 7, 2011: The Managing Director of Karnataka Bank  P.Jayarama Bhat was conferred with the prestigious Aryabhata International Award (instituted by Aryabhata Cultural Association, Bangalore) by Dr. V.S. Acharya, Minister for Higher Education, Govt. of Karnataka in the presence of  Dr. Mahesh Joshi, Deputy Director General, Doordarshan & Dr. H.L.N. Rao, President of the Association.

 

 

P. Jayarama Bhat, a postgraduate with Gold Medal from Mysore University,  joined Karnataka Bank in 1973 and rose to the position of  Managing Director in 2009. He has made significant contributions to the bank, which has 478 branches with a projection of business turnover of Rs 54,000/- crore for the year 2011-12.
