He said  the Union Labour and Employment Ministry order ( DGET/50(2)/95 AD dated 15th march 1996)   and the Supreme Court ruling  in January, 1995 (Order No. AIR 995, SC-115) clearly mention  that  50% of recruitment  to the posts of apprentices should be based on reservation. He alleged that MRPL had clearly violated the ruling in the recruitment of around 70 graduated engineers from 2008 to June 2013.

The several appeals to the Department of Labour have gone in vain and the association has now decided to move a contempt of court petition  against the MRPL and Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Dharmendra, Ajit Kumar K, Padmanabha Ullal, Association leaders and apprentices were present.
