Apolitical Padayatra on August 10 to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: J R Lobo

Mangaluru, Aug 06, 2022: Senior Congress leader and former MLA J R Lobo has said that an apolitical Padayatra will be organised under the aegis of the Congress on August 10 as part of the Platinum Jubilee of India’s Independence.

 

 

 

 

Speaking to reporters here on August 6, Saturday, he said the  Padayatra will commence from Pandeshwar after garlanding the statue of Nehru. It will conclude at Lalbagh by garlanding the bust of Mahata Gandhi. The Padayatra will pass through AB Shetty Circle, Clock Tower, Kodialbail, PVS, Besant to reach Lalbagh, he said.

He said police permission would be sought for the Padayatra.

Party leaders T K Sudhir, Premnath, Shahul Hameed and others were present.
