Annual feast of Our Lady of Health, Shirva, celebrated in great fervor

Shirva,  Feb 2,  2012The annual feast of Our Lady of Health, Shirva, was celebrated on Feb 1 Wednesday. The festive mass, held in the morning, was celebrated by priests from various parishes in Udupi.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The church was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and decorative lights and the choir was well-trained. Devotees lit candles in honor of Our Lady of Health. A number of stalls were set up, displaying a wide range of items such as eatables.

A large number of devotees from a number of places in and around Udupi participated in the event.
