Allegations against Robert Vadra politically motivated - Moily

Mangalore, Oct 14, 2012: Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, union minister for corporate affairs, said that the allegations leveled against Robert Vadra, son-in-law of AICC President Sonia Gandhi, that he is receiving favors from real estate giant DLF are politically motivated. Moily was addressing the press at Circuit House on Oct 14, Sunday.

He stated that RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal leveled those allegations against Vadra in an attempt to tarnish the image of the Congress.

 

Regarding that Cauvery water dispute, Moily accused the state government of failing to present ground realities of the Cauvery issue before the Supreme Court. Stating that there is plenty of water in Mettur Dam and TN will receive North West monsoons in a few days, he said that there is no need to release Cauvery water to TN.

Revealing details regarding Sonia Gandhi’s visit to Mangalore on Oct 18, he said that her visit will strengthen the Congress in this area.

Criticizing the BJP, he said that the first thing the Congress will do if it comes to power in Karnataka is re-investigate all the allegations against BJP leaders.
