Akshay Kallega murder case: Court rejects bail plea of third accused

Puttur, Oct 7, 2025: The Fifth Additional District and Sessions Court in Puttur has rejected the bail plea of the third accused, Manjunath alias Hari, in the murder case of Akshay Kallega, head of the “Team Kallega Tigers,” which occurred two years ago in Nehru Nagar, Puttur.

The accused had sought bail citing health reasons. However, public prosecutor Jayanti Satish Bhat, representing the complainant, opposed the plea and urged the court not to grant bail. Accepting her argument, the judge dismissed the bail application.
