Akashbhavan Sharan, 4 others arrested in looting case

Mangaluru, Jan 14, 2022: CCB police have arrested notorious criminal Akashbhavan Sharan and four of his accomplices in connection with a looting case in Suratkal police station limits. Sharan who is wanted in several murder, murder attempt, looting cases as well as a rape case, was released on bail about two months ago and is now once again behind bars.

 

 

 

The arrest was made in connection with a December 8, 2021 incident wherein a resident of Haleyangady who was riding his two-wheeler was  waylaid in the Nandini bridge area, threatened with knife and robbed of a cash of Rs 3,000, his mobile phone as well as his two-wheeler. A complaint was lodged in this connection in Suratkal police station.

Apart from Sharan, police have arrested Anil Kumar Salian (40) of Kankanady, Sainal D’Souza (22) of Bajpe, Prasad (39) of Farangipete and Chethan Kottari (35) of Jeppinamogaru.
