Ahmedabad cops arrest lady techie accused of issuing bomb threat to Udupi school

Udupi, June 24, 2025: Ahmedabad City Crime Branch Police have arrested a Chennai based electrical engineer who works as a senior consultant with an IT firm for sending bomb threats to various organisations including a school in Udupi.

The accused is Rene Joshilda. She had reportedly sent threatening emails to organisations in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana and other states using fake email IDs, through VPNs and dark web tools.

Udupi SP Hariram Shanker has said that the Police Department would write to Ahmedabad police to hand over the accused for investigation with regard to the Udupi case.
