Mangaluru, Dec 28, 2025: A human is more helpless than a physically challenged person at birth, with constant care and support as it grows over years, learning and acquiring essential human skills and brain development. Imagine how fortunate most people are to have got the care and support of parents and elders and become grown able humans. There are thousands of physically handicapped among us with different kinds, degrees and assortment of deformities. A virtual human life battle that goes on and on and is very often pathetic. Nothing in life is a chance, even the minutest of things are GOD’s deep design. In isolated cases even with a shattered body and twisted limbs of all shapes, combinations and permutations possible - the mind and spirit are virtual wonders able to devise all kinds of strategies and simply overcome day to day hurdles and self motivate and maintain a prodigious development, with AI the scope may improve; we look forward to a progressive human life sustaining action with some support and care from family and friends with divine intervention of the Supreme Almighty. Remember one person like that - Late Stephen Hawking, we do have one like that here in Kudla or Mangalore !
A Mall near my place of stay in Mangalore, has given me tremendous and strange insights and interaction with rare people. That lucky day my sight was attracted to a bundle on a simple wheelchair being pushed by a young man in the centre of the Mall’s main floor with a lively atmosphere. From a distance I was shocked to see what seemed like a well groomed face on top of a bundle of limbs very sadly placed without shape or symmetry... was I imagining ’Stephen Hawking’....? I did not look away, because the face and the smile and expression directly looking at me was extraordinary. I waved and there was a welcome immediate response. The caregiver brought the young man in the wheel chair directly near me. The face, the smile, the eyes and body language disarmed me and I held the person’s unusual hand and a strange feeling of confidence came into me. I was at a loss what language to use.....the divine person was neatly dressed with jeans and shirt . He asked me in a normal way are you from this area? Yes , I said and asked where he was from and got a very clear warm response "from Bantwal" and all the ice was broken and a warm admiration was all around, there was no crowd at the place as it was a weekday. We spoke for some time and the time did not matter, then we exchanged mobile contacts and I took a treasured selfie with this mentally confident, friendly and cultured human, that I can not still fathom. The lightning contact in that spot I would label as a miracle and we did not know anything of each other and normally in such situations it takes time to know and feel comfortable, but here was a miracle that immediately clicked and exchanges reveal a mighty human story. I would like to share some facts about this Human heap of assorted limbs that is a mind boggling influence and motivation that can never be put in a rational form and shape. More of our readers need to know about AHMED KABEER and his heroic story and how he handles an unusual life that should be a beacon to many. Most, who are in ill health or pain are devastated and frustrated to the extreme. Life is to accept, and make the best of it only then the Almighty will provide all strength and support which is unimaginable as with our friend Ahmed Kabeer here, it dawned on me. Let us stop to hear Mr. Kabeer’s story most impressive and deeply motivating:
"My name is Ahmed Kabeer. I am 25 years old and I live in Kanchinodi, Bantwal Taluk, near Mangalore. This small place has been the center of my life, where my struggles began but also where my dreams started growing. I was born healthy, but at the age of one, everything changed. My health condition slowly took away my strength and mobility. Today, I cannot move on my own, I cannot lift even a glass of water if I need anything, I depend entirely on my mother and others. I do my communication work only with one strong finger. At times it feels impossible, but Allah gave me the courage to turn this one finger into my greatest strength. With it, I run my business, create content, and connect with the world. My disability took away my body, but it gave me a Spirit with patience, creativity, and the will to fight back and succeed. The ’Unique Disability ID" issued in 2020 by Govt of India, specifies the disability as "Locomotor Disability" and mentions the disability to be 100 per cent.
In the beginning, for around six months, I had a teacher who came home to teach me. After that, most of my learning has been self-taught. I gained knowledge through reading, exploring social media, and interacting with my teams/customers. This way of learning helped me connect directly with real life experiences and mind power. My biggest challenge is my inability to move on my own. But with the constant care of my mother and the support of my family, I manage my daily life. In my career, whenever I face obstacles, I focus deeply on the situation, look for possible solutions, and never give up until I find a way forward. I believe every problem has an answer. You just need patience and the right mindset.
I’m blessed to have gradually built a career that combines creativity and entrepreneurship. I started with photo and video editing, then expanded into creating ’YouTube’ content. From there, I ventured into building my own online shop, crafting hampers, event photography and videography, event organizing, travel services, and makeovers. My work is diverse because I love exploring new opportunities and finding creative ways to serve my clients, with better ways. I also love positively motivating my GenZ contacts. Honestly, it wasn’t easy. My disability limited me from working outside, but I refused to let that stop me. I used technology, creativity, and determination to start up from home. Every challenge became powerful fuel to push harder, and today, seeing my ideas come alive and serving clients gives me strength and happiness. Bless the folks who have supported and stand by me. My biggest support has always been my family, especially my mother. Her ’duas’, prayers are my greatest shield. My close friends have also been a source of encouragement. Above all, my greatest motivator is Allah. Every difficulty HE placed in my path came with hidden strength, wisdom and solutions. With real patience and tawakkul (trust/faith/hope in Allah), I’ve learned that even the hardest journeys can lead to the most beautiful destinations.
As a freelancer and entrepreneur, my income varies depending on the projects and clients I work with. Some months are better than others, but I’m continuously working to expand my business and grow financially. More than income, I focus on building something sustainable, so that one day I can provide opportunities to others as well. I don’t have a permanent team, but I collaborate with professionals whenever required. For example, for wedding photography, I connect clients with reliable photographers. For travel services, I work with trusted providers. My family, friends, and well wishers have been my constant supporters, and their encouragement gives me the courage to keep moving forward. My work has given me confidence, dignity, and independence. It showed me that financial stability is not just about money it’s about the ability to create, grow, and inspire others. Through my business, I’ve been able to collaborate with brands, build meaningful connections, and gain recognition for my efforts. Every opportunity reminds me that passion and persistence can turn even the toughest situations into success."
Soon, due to media exposure of this story, the Prime and famous, oldest and first School of Social Work, ROSHNI NILAYA at Valencia, contacted Ahmed Kabeer and invited him to be the ’Guest of Honour’ held on December 20, 2025 ! At the glittering event "ROSHNI Impact Awards Ceremony 2025" what a graceful gesture and work of a divine hand. It gave this deserving youth a new confidence and potential to shape himself and his supporters a new enthusiasm. Kudos Roshni! More institutions and people should follow suit and contribute to good in 2026.
What I may like to add for dear people is, never let your limitations define you. Focus on what you can do, not on what you can’t. Be positive, use your creativity, and take that first step no matter how small it is. Your resilience and consistency will open doors you never imagined.
