Advocate Shyamala Bhandary Elected President of Karnataka State Notaries Association

Udupi, May 18, 2025: Senior advocate and notary Shyamala Bhandary from Kundapur has been elected as the President of the Karnataka State Notaries Association for the 2025–2026 term.

A well-known figure for her involvement in social causes, Shyamala Bhandary has become the first woman to hold this prestigious position in the association.

She has an extensive record of service across various organizations, including serving as a Syndicate Member of Mangalore University, a member of the Karnataka State Women’s Commission, a member of the Advisory Committee for the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, and a member of the Advisory Committee for the Central Board of Film Certification’s Bengaluru division.

Additionally, she has been a director of the Dakshina Kannada Women’s Cooperative Bank, a member of the Taluk Legal Services Committee, a part-time lecturer at Yadthare Manjaya Shetty Law College, and a legal advisor for women’s organizations. She has also served as the President of the Udupi District Women’s Congress and as the General Secretary of the Karnataka State Women’s Congress.
