Activist Jayant Files Complaint Against SIT Officers Probing Dharmasthala Case

Belthangady, Nov 16, 2025: Activist Jayant T, a supporter of the Soujanya case campaign, has filed a complaint at the Belthangady police station against the Special Investigation Team (SIT) officers probing the Dharmasthala case.

In his complaint, Jayant has named SIT officials Jitendra Dayama, SP Simon, DySP R.G. Manjunath, Inspector Manjunath Gowda and Sub-Inspector Gunapal. He has alleged that during interrogation, the officers subjected him to physical assault, issued death threats, engaged in criminal conspiracy and attempted to coerce him into giving false statements.

He has also accused the officials of involvement in illegal activities, disobedience of government orders, and dereliction of duty. Police sources said legal opinion has been sought on the complaint, following which appropriate action will be taken.

Jayant has reportedly submitted similar complaints to the Governor and the Director General of Police, accusing the SIT officials of assaulting and intimidating him after summoning him for inquiry.
