Abhishek Goyal takes over as the new SP

Mangalore, Jan 8, 2012: Abhishek Goyal, the previous superintendent of police at Bagalkot, took over as the superintendent of police of DK on Friday. 

He is from the 2004 IPS batch and has taken over from Labhu Ram, the previous SP of Dakshina Kannada, who has been posted as superintendent of police from Davanagere.

                               

 

After taking over, Mr. Goyal went to Madikeri to participate in a high-level review meeting on inter-border crime and will return on Jan 11. 

Mr. Goyal had served as the assistant superintendent of police in Puttur in 2008. 

Reportedly, Labhu Ram has not taken over as the SP in Davanagere because Venkatesh, the previous SP of Davanagere, has disputed his sudden transfer in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).
