Abdul Rahiman murder case: Police arrest one more, total 8 in custody

Bantwal, June 6, 2025: Dakshina Kannada police on June 4, Wednesday, arrested one more person in connection with the murder of Abul Rahiman and grievous assault on Kalandar Shafi at Ira Kodi in Kuriyala village under Bantwal Rual Police Station limits on May 27.

Police gave the name of the arrested as Ravi Sanjay, 29 of Bettagere village, near Sringeri. With this, eight persons have been arrested in the case.

Dakshina Kannada district police had formed five teams under the investigating officer, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bantwal, to crack the murder.

A group of persons attacked Abdul Rahiman and Kalandar Shafi, who were unloading sand from a pick-up truck at Ira Kodi, with lethal weapons resulting in the death of the former and serious injuries to the latter.
