ATF pilferage racket busted near Suratkal; 3 vehicles seized

Mangaluru, Nov 08, 2022: Police as well as the officials of the Food and Civil Supplies Department have unearthed a racket of Aviation Turbine Fuel  theft at Bala near Suratkal.  Following a tip off, officials raided the spot and have seized two tankers, a pick-up vehicle and several other equipment.

 

It is learnt those involved in this racket would pilfer Aviation Turbine Fuel from a tanker and then adulterate the remaining fuel in the tanker with kerosene oil.

During  the raid officials also found an underground tank wherein the pilfered ATF used to  be stored.

Food  and Civil Supplies Department Deputy Director Manikya, Food Inspector K Pramod Kumar, Sub-Inspector Puneeth Gaonkar and others were part of the operation.
