ABVP stages protest against fixing Uppinangady college student in ‘false’ case

Mangalore, Aug 6, 2013 :  Members of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad staged a protest in front of the DC office on August 5, Monday demanding the withdrawal of the case filed against Ranjith, a student of Uppinangady Government First Grade College on the charges of harassing a female student.

 

Earlier ABVP activists also took out a rally from Ambedkar Circle to DC office. Addressing the protestors, Yatish Kumar P, Secretary of the city unit of ABVP  accused the cops of filing a false case against Ranjith  and blamed political pressure for the same. He also alleged that some disruptive forces were trying to disturb communal harmony in the college campus and sought action against such forces.

The agitators also  submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the DC
