ABVP raises voice against corruption

Mangalore, August 9: The Akhila Bharata Vidyarthi Parishad organized a human chain in protest against the corrupt activities of the state as well as the central governments at Bunts Hostel Circle on August 9, Tuesday.

The protestors said that the country will lose its independence if corrupt politicians are allowed to have their way. Flaying the central government for its inability to check corruption, the protestors pointed out that three of the central government scams have exceeded Rs. 1 lakh crore while the other 13 have exceeded Rs. 1000 crore each. 


Speaking on the 2G Spectrum scam, which is the largest reported scam in the country, the protestors said that even the home minister and the prime minister are involved in this scam. 


The students demanded the immediate retrieval of money stored in foreign banks, the implementation of the Jan Lokpal Bill, and the enforcement of eGovernance to make electoral reforms and government activities transparent. 


The ABVP also plans to organize a tri-color dwaja yatra throughout the taluk to raise its voice against corruption.
