ABVP opposes shifting of Kaniyoor College; stages protest

Mangalore, July 15, 2014:   Students, under the aegis of the ABVP   took out a protest march from Ambedkar Circle upto the DC office in the city on July 15, Tuesday opposing the  shifting of Kaniyoor First  Grade College  to Belandur, citing lack of infrastructure and other amenities.

 

 

 

 

ABVP leaders Ramesh, Yatish and Shyam Bhat who spoke on the occasion, said the College at Belandur should be shifted to Kaniyoor. They also stated that there were ten lecturers for 13 students in Belandur contrary to five guest lecturers for 150 students in Kaniyoor college.

They suggested that the students and lecturers at Belandur should be shifted to Kaniyoor instead of the other way round.

The protestors also demanded a fair investigation into Ratna Kottari death case.
