In his protest address, Organizing Secretary Vinay Horatti said that Chidambaram, who allegedly played a major role in the Rs. 1.76 lakh crore 2G Spectrum scam should not only resign, but should also be placed behind bars.

He also alleged that even Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is involved in the scam.

Stating that Chidambaram should immediately be relieved of his duties, he said that an impartial investigation into the case is not possible as long as he continues to be the home minister.

Horatti urged that Chidambaram should, therefore, resign and the case must be handed over to the CBI.

ABVP members Ravi, Bindu Madhav, Mitel, Aneesh, P. Ullas, Yathish Kumar, and others are present.
