AAP publicity vehicle seized in Suratkal area for violation of rules

Mangalore, Mar 20, 2014: A publicity vehicle of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)  has been seized by the election authorities  in the Mangalore North constituency. The vehicle is now in the custody of the Suratkal police as per the directive of the election officer.

It is learnt, the AAP vehicle  with a huge loud speaker was seen in Suratkal town, publicising its candidate. Sources said the same vehicle  was seen in other parts of the district too. On verification, the election authorities found that the  AAP had not secured the permission from the RTO for the alteration of the vehicle. Even leaflets of the party were found in the vehicle.

The AAP candidate  MR Vasudeva  is learnt to have visited the Suratkal police station and has tendered an apology.
