AAP, SDPI are B-teams of BJP, alleges Jairam Ramesh

Mangaluru, May 01, 2023: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha Member Jairam Ramesh has alleged that the AAP, AIMIM and SDPI are B-teams of the BJP. Even the JD(S) has entered into an understanding with the BJP, he alleged while speaking to reporters in Mangaluru on May 1, Monday.

Referring to the BJP promise of three free LPG cylinders for every family, Jairam Ramesh said the party had given similar assurance in Uttar Pradesh but no family got the free cylinder, he said and added that he has enquired and confirmed about this information.

Referring to the BJP allegation that the Congress has not fulfilled the assurances given in states where it has formed the government, Jairam Ramesh termed the allegation as baseless.

He said the BJP government in Karnataka has not fulfilled 90% of its promises made prior to the elections. He further said the Congress will not go back on its words. He said in 2013, the Siddaramaiah government which came to power in the state had fulfilled 95% of its poll promises.

Pointing out that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders were referring to national issues during their campaigning, Jairam Ramesh said even Congress can raise Adani and China issues, but has  confined itself to state issues as it is an assembly election.
