8 booked for abetment to suicide of Puttur man

Puttur, Aug 30, 2023: Police have registered cases against eight persons on charges of abetment to suicide of Abdul Naseer of Kattattaru in Puttur.

 

It may be recalled here that Naseer had recently filmed a video of himself announcing his decision to end life stating he was assaulted for no reason. Naseer worked as a driver for a person in Bellare. After filming the video which had gone viral, Naseer had consumed poison on August 22 and later died in the hospital on August 27.

His mother has filed a complaint with the Sullia police accusing some people of threatening and assaulting Naseer. Accordingly police have registered abetment to suicide case against Ataullah, Naufal, Sameer, Abdulla, Taaju, Moidu and Adrama.
