7 arrested for gambling at Mukka lodge

Mangaluru, June 12, 2023: Police have arrested seven persons on the charges of gambling at a lodge room near the Mukka check post. Two staff of the lodge who helped the accused in the illegal act have also been arrested.

 

Those arrested are Mulki Kolnad Lingappaiah Kadu residents Lal Saab (31), Amir Phanisaab (31), Dastagiri Saab (32), Siddanna (47), Mohammad Rafiq (34), Parashuram (29), Jithendra Hirasingh (34), lodge manager Babu Chandrashekhar (62) of Hejamady and lodge staff Rakshith (23) of Hejamady Kodi.

Police have seized a cash of Rs 26,020, nine mobile phones, a car and cards from them.
