4 injured as bus-lorry collide near Derlakatte

 Mangalore, Oct 29, 2013 :  The driver of a lorry sustained serious injuries, while three others escaped with minor injuries in a head on collision between a lorry and a private  bus at Paneeru near Derlakatte on October 28, Monday.

 

 

The seriously injured person has been identified as Prakash.  A passenger in the bus and two others in the lorry were the other injured persons.

The lorry loaded with stones was speeding towards Madoor from Derlakatte while  the bus  ferrying students of Nitte Pharmacy college was proceeding towards Derlakatte.

An electric pole nearby even rolled over the bus after it hit against the pole in a bid to avert a collision.

The accident disrupted traffic on the route for some time. Ullal police have registered a case.
