3 arrested for robbing gold in the guise of customers

Mangaluru, Jan 11, 2024: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the theft of jewellery from Pragathi Jewellers on GHS Cross Road.

 

Those arrested are Sinan (25) of Manjanady, Hyder Ali Asil (20) of Natekal and Tanveer (34). Police have seized 97.11 grams of jewellery worth Rs 6 lakhs, a scooter and two mobile phones.

The accused who had entered the jewellery store in the guise of customers and managed to rob the jewellery after diverting the attention of the salespersons. The store owner Vinod Shet had lodged  a police complaint.
