29th Vijaya-Vikrama Jodukare Kambala held at Uppinangady

 Uppinangady, Mar 17, 2014: The 29th Vijaya-Vikrama Jodukare Kambala  organised on the Netravathi river banks  near Uppinangady  Kootelu  was inaugurated by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on March 15, Saturday.

 

 

In his address, he said Kambala, the rich rural sport of the district should emerge as a national level sports.

Harish Poonja, High Court advocate, Shashikumar Rai Balyottu, Puttur Jana Jagrithi Vedike President, Vasantha Majalu, Belthangady APMC Director, Ashok Kumar Rai, Kambala Samithi President, Keshava Gowda, ZP Member  and others were present.

 Madhala Devu Poojari, a Kambala  jockey and centenarian was felicitated on  the occasion by Nalin Kumar.
