25 injured in head-on collision between two buses in Kasargod

Kassargod, Sep 7, 2013: 25 people have been injured in a collision between the private buses which plies between kasargod and Kanhjyangad on Friday September 7. The incident occurred at 10am on Saturday, at a sharp hairpin turn near Ambad in Thekkil.

The accident has occurred between Deviprasad bus which plies between kasargod and Kanhjyangad collided with the Suchitra bus which was coming in the opposite direction.  The injured, including the bus drivers, were admitted to hospital.

 

 

The injured include Vishwanath(52) from Koodlu, Prakash(25) from Attenganna, driver Madhu(37) from Bandadka, conductor Madhusudhan(26) from Bedadka, Jhanardhana(46) from Charalli, Srijith(14), Kunyanmol(50) from Panathor,  Mohemmed Kunni(58) from Berike, Nasir(25) from Nalamai, Prakash Bhat (52) from Kuntar, M Karunakaran(47), Yashoda(68), Ashok(40), his wife Shobhana(34) and two childrens Abhinand(2) and Abhiraj(11), Kayya(18) from Bedadka, B.K Abdul Kunni from Thekill are the names of the few .

Most of the injured have now been discharged from the hospital. Local people and the police took the injured to the hospital.
