233 new Covid-19 positive cases each in DK and Udupi on September 21

Mangaluru, September 21, 2020: 233 people each from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and  Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, September 21, 2020. Eight more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK and four in Udupi district today.

Among the 233 new cases in DK, 122 are from Mangaluru, 53 from Bantwal, six from Puttur, five from Sullia, 10 from Beltangady and 37 are from outside DK district. As many as 404 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 20,367. As many as 15,505 persons have been discharged and 4,317 cases are currently active. 490 deaths have occurred including 8 today.

Udupi district has reported 233 fresh cases on Monday. Among them, 111 are from Udupi, 55 from Kundapur, 47 from Karkala and 20 from outside the district. Now, the Udupi has a total of 15,624 cases with 1,366 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 14,114 patients recovered and discharged including 278 today. The district has reported 144 COVID-19 fatality.
