2 year old Karthik drowns in water tank at Manjanady

Mangalore, May 12, 2014:  A two and a half year old child met a tragic end after he accidentally slipped into a water tank at Manjanady on May 11, Sunday. The deceased boy is Karthik, son of Ravi Achar of Manjanady Kallatta.

It is  learnt, Karthik who was playing near the tank had climbed the tank which was nearly three feet tall and fell inside. The tank constructed by the local panchayat was located near his house.

The parents of Karthik on not seeing him anywhere looked inside the tank and found him dead.

The family had moved to  Manjanady from Udupi about a year and a half back and was staying in the rented house of Srinivas Alva.

Konaje police have registered a case.
