Sub-Inspector Rosamma PP and Inspector Revathi of the Women’s Police station are the two officers who will have to pay the fine amount which would go as compensation to the arrested man Naveen Sequeira.

The court has also asked the Home Department Chief Secretary to initiate legal action against the two officers.

Naveen Sequeira was arrested in a POCSO case  by the two officers. In this case the victim had merely mentioned the accused as Naveen and the cops believed that Naveen Sequeira himself was the accused.
