2 injured as water tanker overturns near Kuntikan

Mangalore, Apr 29, 2014: Two persons  sustained injuries when a water tanker  overturned after hitting an electric pole  near AJ Hospital in the city on April 29, Tuesday.

 

 

 

The mishap occurred when the tanker named “Sri Ganesh Prasad” was returning to Kadri after supplying water to Konchady. As per reports, a car in front of the water tanker applied sudden brakes taking the tanker driver unawares.

As he tried to apply brake, he realised there was a brake failure and in order to avoid hitting the car, veered his vehicle to the roadside.

In the process the water tanker hit an electric pole before overturning.

The injured are the tanker driver Ranjith and his assistant Purushottam. Another youngster Suraj who was also in the tanker escaped unhurt.

Kadri East Traffic Police have registered a case.
