2-day workshop on Citizen’s Charter Services Act 2012 inaugurated

Mangalore, Mar 2, 2012: N. Yogish Bhat, the deputy speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, inaugurated the 2-day workshop on Karnataka Citizens’ Charter Services Act 2012 in the premises of the ZP. The  workshop was organized by the Administration Training Institute (ATI) of Mysore. 


Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhat urged government workers to give the best possible service to the public. Lauding the role of the district administration in successfully organizing the 17th edition of the National Youth Festival, he said that the administration proved that it can successfully handle mega events. He also suggested that senior officers must guide their juniors in tackling problems and drawbacks.

The Karnataka Citizen’s Charter Services Act aims at controlling the time taken by officials in providing services to the public and will be made mandatory from April 2, 2012. The workshop is being held to train ZP members in efficiency and working within deadlines. 


Dr. N. S. Channappa Gowda, the district commissioner of DK, and Dr. K. N. Vijayaprakash, the CEO of ZP, also spoke on the occasion.
