2 children die as hill behind their house caves in near Kumaradhara

Subrahmanya, Aug 02, 2022: In a tragic incident, two sisters aged 11 and 6 lost their lives after  a hill near their house at Parvathamukhi near Kumaradhara in Subrahmanya caved in on August 1 Monday night. The deceased are Shruthi and Jnanashree, daughters of Kusumadhar.

 

It  has been raining incessantly in Subrahmanya area since Monday evening and the hill behind the house of Kusumadhar caved in all of a sudden.  On hearing a loud sound at night  Kusumadhar, his wife and mother rushed out while the two children who were inside got trapped as a wall fell over them.

Though a JCB was rushed to the spot and the two children were removed from under the debris, they had breathed their last by then.
