2 Naxals arrested in Kerala produced before Kundapur court

Kundapur, Aug 18, 2022: Naxals B G Krishnamurthi of Bhuvanahadlu village of Shringeri Taluk and Savitri alias Rajitha who were arrested in Kerala were on Wednesday produced before a court in Kundapur. All the cases against the two have been transferred to the district court.

 

Charge sheets against the two with regard to six cases in Shankernarayana Police station limits and one case in Kollur station limits, have been  submitted to the court. A total of seven cases now stands transferred to the district court.

B G Krishnamurthi had earlier appealed to the court to lodge him in a Karnataka jail. He had stated that he had got bail in one of the six cases registered against him in Kerala and he can travel to Karnataka for the hearing. He also stated that as most cases against him were in Karnataka he preferred to be lodged in Karnataka jail. However the court has not agreed to his plea as of now.
