17-year-old student drowns in stream near Belthangady

Mangaluru, December 4, 2022: A 17- year-old student drowned in a stream in Belthangady police station limits on Saturday evening.  The deceased is Vivek, a student of Pre-university College in Ujire and son of Keshava Bhandary, resident of Dondole in Dharmasthala.

According to police, the incident took place, when a group of about seven PU students were on their way to Ermai Falls. They stopped near a stream for a bath, where one of them drowned.

The body has been retrieved, and the Belthangady police are investigating the case.
