15 yr girl meets watery grave in Shambhavi river

Moodbidri, April 27, 2014 :  A teenaged girl met a watery grave while enjoying a bath in Shambhavi  river along with friends at Alagundi in Kadandale   here on April 26, Saturday.

The deceased girl is Deeksha Sapaliga (15), daughter of Ganesh and Rekha Sapaliga of Inna.

It is suspected that the girl who did not realize the depth of the water, slipped and drowned. Though the friends along with her rushed out and brought help, Deeksha had breathed her last by then.

She was a class IX student. The tragedy occurred when Deeksha had come to her granny’s house to attend a religious programme.

 

A case has been registered in Moodbidri police station.
