13-year-old hangs herself in her house

Mangalore, Sep 27, 2011 : A 13-year-old girl committed suicide in her house at 11:30 a.m. on September 25 Sunday.

 

The deceased is Apoorva (13) who was studying in the IX standard in a city high school.

The teenager hung herself on a ceiling fan when there was nobody at home. Her family says that they left her watching a TV show and guess that she might have tried to copy one of the actors/actresses in the show.

However, some family sources say that Apoorva was depressed for the past few years and was under treatment for the same.

The Urwa police have registered a case.
