12th accused arrested in Abdul Rahiman’s murder

Bantwal, July 26, 2025: The Bantwal Rural police on Friday arrested Sachin alias Sachhu, 32, a resident of Pudu village in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, in connection with the murder of sand transporter Abdul Rahiman on May 27.

In a press release, the police said Sachin was produced before the jurisdictional magistrate on Friday. The court granted custody of Sachin to police for additional examination.  

The police have so far arrested a total of 12 persons in the murder case registered under sections 191 (1), 191 (2), 191 (3), 118 (2), 109 and 103 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
