Mangalore, July 16, 2013: Shalini Rajaneesh, Secretary of the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department has informed that 110 more services are being included under the ambit of the Sakala scheme of the state government.
Addressing a press meet at the DC office in July 15, Monday, she said a total of 375 services pertaining to 21 departments will be available under Sakala scheme. These include 76 services pertaining to Department of Higher Education, five pertaining to sericulture department and one service pertaining to market department. She said a month long training will be arranged for officials at every district headquarters.
She said the Department has also started a Help Desk to ensure that Sakala scheme reaches maximum number of people and added so far 25000 people have availed benefits under Sakala scheme.
Of the total 2.84 crore applications received in the state, 2.75 crore have been disposed. In DK district of the 9,64,555 applications 9, 39,401 applications have been disposed, she informed.
Continuing, Shalini Rajaneesh said more emphasis would be laid on online service and added as of now 31 services are available through online while from August 16, all the services under Sakala will be available online.
Deputy Commissioner N Prakash, Additional DC Dayanand were also present.
