100 kg chocolates laced with drugs seized from 2 shops in city

Mangaluru, July 20, 2023: In a major drugs haul, the Pandeshwar police have seized 100 kg of chocolates laced with narcotic drugs on July 19, Wednesday. The intoxicant chocolates were seized from two shops in the city.

 

The operation was launched following a tip off. A shop owned by Manohar Shet at Carstreet and another shop at Falnir owned by Bechan Sonar of Uttar Pradesh were raided and the drugs laced chocolates which were referred to as Bang chocolates were seized.

Both shopkeepers have been booked and the seized chocolates have been sent to  forensic laboratory to know about the drugs mixed in the chocolates.
