10 injured as labourers’ shed collapses at Central Market construction site

Mangaluru, Mar 14, 2023: As many as 10 labourers were injured after the  shed where they were staying in the Central Market building construction site, collapsed all of a sudden late night on March 13, Monday.

 

The mishap occurred at around 11.30 pm when the labourers were asleep. The mud beneath the shed caved in all of a sudden resulting in the mishap. The injured were rushed to the hospital and later discharged after providing treatment.

Local blamed those entrusted with the project work of irresponsibility resulting in this mishap.

Land has been excavated upto 30 feet deep close by the place where the sheds are located, resulting in the mishap.

Police officials as well as officials of MCC rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation.
