‘Mangalore sisters’ conferred ‘Karnataka Chethana’ title

Mangalore, Oct 19, 2013 : Twin sisters   Ananya S.Rao and Apoorva S Rao, popularly known as "Mangalore Sisters"  were conferred the  "Karnataka Chethana" state title awarded by "Jnana Mandaara Cultural and Educational Trust" of Bangalore at a function held at "Kannada Bhavana Nayana Rangamandira", J C Road, Bangalore recently.

The sisters are  studying "Vidvat" in "Bharathanatyam" under Guru Vidushi Vidyashree Radhakrishna of "Gaana Nrithya Akademy," Mangalore. They have recently performed in Doordarshan "Chandana" and have even given programmes at   "Naada Neerajanam" of Tirupathi, IMA Udupi, etc. The twin sisters have also been  invited  by the   prestigious "Karuru Natyaanjali" festival organizers  to perform duets in"Bharathanatyam" in the month of December.
