"Excelerate–2025" organized by Expert P U College to be held on 18th October

Mangaluru, October 16, 2025: "Excelerate – 2025", a science fest for high school students, is being organized by Expert Pre-University College, Kodialbail, Mangaluru ,  a unit of Expert Group of Institutions, Mangalore on 18th October 2025.

The fest will be inaugurated by Mr. Pramod Hedge, President & Managing Director of Meditech India.

The valedictory ceremony and prize distribution will be held at 4:00 PM, with Deputy Commissioner Mr. Darshan H. V. as the Chief Guest.

 Prof. Narendra L. Nayak, Chairman  and Dr. Ushaprabha Nayak, Vice Chairperson of Expert Group of Institutions will grace the occasion with their presence.
With the aim of fostering scientific curiosity and sharpening critical thinking skills, four major events have been planned for high school students from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts:

Events:

1.    X-Quizit – Science Quiz Competition

2.    X-IgnAIte – Artificial Intelligence Workshop

3.    X-Xibit – Science Model Making Competition

4.    X-Sight – Interactive Demonstration

Participation Details:

•    Each participating school will send 8 students, forming 4 teams (each team consisting of 2 students).
•    One team will participate in each of the four events.

Event Descriptions:

•    X-Quizit (Science Quiz):
A quiz competition based on Science and Mathematics. Each school will be represented by one team of 2 students.

•    X-IgnAIte (AI Workshop):
A hands-on workshop where resource persons will train students on AI tools and prompt engineering. Based on the training, students will be required to develop a basic web application using AI concepts.

•    X-Xibit (Model Making):
Participants must design and present working science models on topics related to school-level science. Emphasis will be on creativity, scientific relevance, and practical application.

•    X-Sight (Interactive Demo):
A live demonstration event where students will showcase scientific principles through engaging and interactive presentations.

Expert Group of Institutions, Mangalore known as trail Blazer for Introducting new ideas, methods and techniques , is organizing this competition for the first time .It is an educational institution that nurtures the curious minds of students through value based educations and phiolosophical guidance.
School teams wishing to participate  have already registred online.Only the registered teams are allowed to participate and the winner of each competition will be awarded first and second prizes .The school that scores the highest ponts will be honored with overall championship. All the participating students will be  will be awarded certificates.

Xcelerate is a science festival designed for high school students. It is an opportunity for young minds to explore the exciting world of science and as  science works practically in real life,.

Participating students will learn about the latest developments in the fields of Science , Technology,  Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and gain hands on experience in practical skills . Students will be encouraged to explore , communicate and think innovatively.The event , called Excelerate, is the prefect starting point for introducing them to a world full of knowledge and imagination.
