’Disappointed’ lady lecturer attempts suicide

Sullia, July 30, 2016 : A lady lecturer who was earlier working in a government college in Sullia has reportedly attempted suicide at her residence at Manganahalli in Bengaluru where she is presently staying. The incident took place on July 29. No complaint has been lodged.


suicideIt is said the lecturer named Dr V Lakshmi was reportedly disappointed on gathering information that the police here would be filing a  B report in the court with regard to the  harassment case which she had filed against the Principal of a college in the town, despite getting an assurance of a thorough probe into the case.


Lakshmi was transferred to the Government PU College at Nelamangala a year ago and since then she has been living at Manganahalli.

Sources said Lakshmi had also cited reasons behind her decision to end life in her FB page and one of her friends who happened to read it had immediately contacted Lakshmi’s family. The lecturer’s son  had later shifted  her to the hospital.
