‘Aatid Radd Dina’ at Panambur Beach attracts huge crowd

 Mangalore, Aug 10, 2013 : A Tulunadu Food and Cultural Festival  ’Aatid Radd Dina’ organized by the Rotary Club of Mangalore Central attracted a large number of people at the Panambur Beach on August 9, Friday. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel inaugurated the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Nalin said such programmes help people of Tulunad to know about their distinct culture and traditions during the month of Aati and will also help in protecting and promoting culture.

N Prakash, Deputy Commissioner and BA Mohiuddeen Bava, MLA of Mangalore North were present as chief guests.

A folk artiste named Sanjeeva presented the Aati Padadana   and Aati Kalanja on the occasion.

 Food stalls selling various Aati delicacies were set up on the occasion. Over 40 varieties of Aati food including Thekkareda Adda, Balyar Chutney Tevu Tetla, Pathrode, Kanile Gasi, Kaithadye, Gendada Adye, Kori Sukka  etc were on display for sale and were savoured by the people gathered for the event.
