Shiroor: Minister Angara inspects damaged fishing boats

Shiroor, Aug 10, 2022: State Minister for Fisheries and Ports S Angara visited Kalihitlu area in Shiroor where as many as 40 country boats were damaged last week due to heavy rains and strong winds.
The minister along with officials inspected the damaged boats as well as fishing equipment.
He assured to raise this issue at the cabinet meeting to be held on August 12 and also to appeal to the government to sanction compensation for the affected fishermen.
