Mangaluru, Jan 13, 2022: In the wake of rising Covid cases in the district, the District Administration has initiated several stern measures in order to check the spread of infection.
A communique from the Deputy Commissioner has stated that all students returning from Kerala should have an RT-PCR negative report not older than 72 hours. Students will also have to isolate for seven days and undergo an RT-PCR test on the eighth day. This measure has been taken as Covid positivity rate is 5.6% in Kerala. The rule is applicable for all medical, engineering and para medical colleges.
It has been decided to increase testing in all educational institutions, apartments, malls etc, the release said and added that measures will be taken to isolate anyone having Covid symptoms.
