Renovated Hotel Mohini Vilas ready for inauguration

Mangalore, Sep 9: “The Saffron,” a boutique hotel newly constructed by Pradhan Developers opposite Ganapathi High School, will be inaugurated on September 10, Thursday at 9:30 a.m. by former MP Dhananjay Kumar.

Speaking about the new building, Dhananjay Kumar said that the brand new restaurant Mohini Vilas Deluxe, which forms part of “The Saffron,” will replace the old Hotel Mohini Vilas. He added that Hotel Mohini Vilas is famous for its snacks, while Krishna Bhavan, located behind it, is famous for lodging and meals.

“The Saffron” comprises 39 rooms, which will be used as hotels, restaurants, mini halls, meeting rooms, and so on. The building also contains parking facilities for 30 vehicles and a central air-conditioning unit. Moreover, the building has been constructed without violating any building norm.

Commenting on the name of the building, he said that “saffron” means “kesar flower.” The restaurants will serve vegetarian food only.

Rajashekar Ballal, the senior architect; Vikas, the designer; B. Subramanya Rao, the proprietor of Mohini Vilas; his wife Sumangala S. Rao; and Parinith were present during the press conference.
