Praveen Nettaru murder case : 3 prime accused arrested from Talapady

Sullia, Aug 11, 2022: Police have succeeded in arresting three prime accused in the BJP Yuva Morcha member Praveen Nettaru murder case that took place in Bellare of Sullia taluk last month.

 

 

 

 

 

Those arrested are Shiyabuddin Ali (33) of Sullia, Riyaz Ankatadka (29) and Basheer (29) of Elimale in Subrahmanya. All the three were arrested from Talapady, informed ADGP (Law and Order) Alok Kumar at a press meet here on August 11, Thursday. With the arrest of these three, the total number of arrests in this case has risen to 10.

Of the three accused Riyaz used to supply chickens to chicken stalls, while Basheer worked in a hotel, the ADGP said.

The arrested trio will be produced before the court and then taken into police custody. There will be a thorough probe to find who sheltered the accused  and the exact reason behind the murder, he said adding the case would be handed over to NIA for further investigation.

The ADGP said there was suspicion that the accused had links with PFI and SDPI. He said the accused had used five two-wheelers and a car during the crime and later and the same would be seized.

IGP Devajyothi Ray, SP Rishikesh Sonavane and other police officials were present.
