Mangaluru, Dec 18, 2020:      Nagaraj Kharvi, a teacher has   entered the India Book of Records by successfully swimming in the  Arabian sea in a Padmasana Yoga posture  and with his legs chained, on December 18, Friday.

He reached his destination at the Tannirbavi beach by covering the distance of one kilometer in 25 minutes 16 seconds and 63 fraction.

Though the wind this morning was in the northward direction,  he used his full force and  reached the flag that was posted  in the southern direction.

His coach  B Krishna Naik was elated over Kharvi’s stunning  performance. Kharvi himself said his  years of hard work has yielded result.

Nagaraj Kharvi is a teacher by profession and is serving the  Kalmanja Government Higher Primary School in Kundapur.
